Jana Gana Mana Shelved?

We are aware of the news that the young sensation Vijay Devarakonda is doing a movie titled Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannadh. Two schedules of the film were also shot a few months back. Now as per the latest report, Jana Gana Mana has been shelved and the reason behind it is Liger which has turned out a disaster at the box office. The makers of the film have taken right decision at the right time.

Jana Gana Mana was the dream project of Puri Jagannadh and he was planning to make the film on the lavish scale of Rs 200 Cr, but now the film Jana Gana Mana – JGM has been shelved post the failure of the film, Liger.

The sources reveal that post the debacle of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda asked Puri to give him time and halt the shoot of JGM for now so that he can wrap up Kushi under the direction of Shiva Nirvana which features Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading actress.

The reports suggest that one of the makers, My Home Group, has also walked out of the project.

The Pan Indian movie Liger ended up as a disaster at the box office and it brought over 50% losses for the distributors.
