Janhvi Kapoor Startled After Fan Rushes Toward Ram Charan at ‘Peddi’ Event
Actor Janhvi Kapoor experienced a tense moment during a promotional event for her upcoming film Peddi when an enthusiastic fan unexpectedly rushed toward her co-star Ram Charan and accidentally frightened her.
A video from the event has gone viral on social media. In the clip, a fan dressed in a style similar to Ram Charan’s can be seen making his way toward the stage. As he attempted to approach the actor and shake hands with him, he appeared to lose his balance and collided with the seating area where Janhvi was sitting.
Although the exact sequence of events is unclear, the impact visibly startled the actress. Security personnel immediately intervened before the situation could escalate. Ram Charan’s personal bodyguard, Kevin Kunta, quickly escorted the fan away from the stage, ensuring the safety of everyone present.
The incident generated widespread discussion online. Many users praised the security team's quick response, while others commented on Janhvi’s startled reaction, which became one of the most talked-about moments from the event. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. Music for the film has been composed by Oscar-winning musician A. R. Rahman.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 4.
