KCR Has Big Plans On PV Narasimha Rao’s Birthday

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Tuesday declared that the state will organise one-year centenary celebrations of late Congress leader and former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao.
This is done in remembrance of the former prime minister and good deeds performed by him in various fields. In a review meeting organised by CM on PV Centenary celebrations at Pragathi Bhavan, the Chief Minister proclaimed that the day would be remembered for birthday of the Congress leader and they would organize PV Gnana Bhoomi in Hyderabad.
In addition to it, celebrations will also be organised at 50 locations across the world. The state government has sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the year-long celebrations.
However, government will pass guidelines so that they abide by the precautionary measures against COVID-19 such as social distancing and covering face.
The state government has also decided to build a memorial in Hyderabad for PV like a memorial set up for former president APJ Abdul Kalam in Rameshwaram. CM has directed a team of officials under the leadership of TRS MP Dr K Keshav Rao would visit Rameswaram to study the memorial model.
