KCR In A Dilemma Over NPR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be in a dilemma nowadays, as pressure from the Muslim community for a stay on the National Population Register (NPR) grows further.
Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), said that he was expecting a hopeful and positive reply from KCR on the NPR issue. Regarding the same, 30 Muslim leaders, under the leadership of Owaisi, asked KCR to ensure that citizens in Telangana are protected from "arbitrary and discriminatory measures such as NRC."
Thereafter, K Chandrasekhar Rao was asked to stop all ongoing work on the National Population Register (NPR). Following the same, AIMIM has three protests in their list that would be organized in Hyderabad this month. Other than this, some Muslim socio-religious groups have already involved themselves in public meetings and conferences.
Now the UMAC leaders demand KCR to stop the NPR as done by the Kerala government. Also, Jamaat-e-Islami Telangana unit chief, Hamid Mohammed Khan announced a peaceful protest rally, named Tiranga Rally, which will start from Eidgah Mir Alam and proceed to Shastripuram on 10th of January.
