KCR In Bihar To Woo Nitish Kumar, But Hasn't Endorsed Him As PM Candidate

On Wednesday, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao stated the obvious but avoided the tricky part during his trip to Patna. While keeping his views about Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar as a potential prime ministerial candidate for later, he urged the opposition to unite for a "BJP-mukt Bharat."
"Nitish Kumar is among the senior-most and best leaders across the country. We can decide these things (whether he can be the opposition's PM pick) later," KCR said.
A non-Congress, non-BJP federal front has been advocated by KCR, one of the more vocal regional voices opposing the BJP and Mamata Banerjee. Besides, Nitish Kumar met deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and ailing RJD president Lalu Prasad in the state capital.
In Nitish's presence, KCR avoided directly answering whether Congress would be on board if his plan for a national front succeeds.
Currently, chief ministers of West Bengal, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Punjab, Delhi, Kerala, Jharkhand, and other states are against the BJP government. They are trying to defeat the saffron party in the Lok Sabha election.
Tejashwi Yadav and national president of JD-U Rajiv Ranjan Singh, alias Lalan Singh, have already started the preparation in Bihar and announced to defeat BJP on all 40 seats here. West Bengal is another state where CM Mamata Benerjee will fight tooth and nail against the saffron party.
