KCR, KTR started sidelining Harish from party affairs
Once the party favorite and known as 'troubleshooter' in TRS, T Harish Rao himself has been facing unending troubles from his party.
Harish Rao arguably has been the most influential TRS leader, next only to KCR. However, political rumors suggest TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao started sidelining Harish from party affairs in favor of his son KTR who has been given the post of TRS working president.
After recent TS Assembly polls in which TRS won with a thumping majority and retained power, Harish Rao is currently in charge of handling the party’s district operations in his own constituency Siddipet and KCR’s constituency Gajwel.
Meanwhile, the sudden decision of KCR and KTR to take Gajwel Vanteru Pratap Reddy into the party is being seen as an attempt to marginalize Harish even more in the coming days.
Harish is now handling KCR's constituency Gajwel constituency apart from his Siddpet constituency and the joining of Vanteru would mean that Gajwel responsibility would be taken off from Harish and given to Vanteru.
KCR recently appointed Mareddy Srinivas Reddy as chairman of TS Civil Supplies Corporation on the recommendation of KTR. Mareddy is a TRS leader from Medak and a staunch follower of KTR.
Could this mean that a promising leader like Harish Rao will now be confined to district level politics or will he be making his entry into the State-level or Lok Sabha elections?
