KCR Pays Tribute To Irrigation Expert R Vidyasagar Rao

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao pays tribute to irrigation expert Vidyasagar Rao on his third death anniversary on 29 April 2020 and remembered him for doing some of the great works for Telangana region.
He said that Vidyasagar ignited the spirit of separate statehood for the people of Telangana and stood against the injustice done to the people of Telangana.
Inspired by his dreams of fertile lands in Telangana state, KCR said that the state is working hard to let his dreams come true and turning acres of barren land into a fertile one. He also stated that the engineers in the State took inspiration from Vidyasagar Rao and completed the Kaleswaram project in a record time. The minister felt that Telangana growing at a rapid rate is a tribute to Vidyasagar and his dreams.
He was the government administrator and a Telangana activist. He was also the Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Water Resources, Central Water Commission.
Rao died on 29 April 2017 from bladder-related cancer at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
