KCR applies a pitch to his nephew and son
The chief minister lauded his nephew and local MLA T Harish Rao in Siddipet and urged the people to re-elect the "six-foot bullet" with the largest possible vote.
K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), chief minister of Telangana and president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, urged the re-election of his son K T Rama Rao from Siricilla and nephew T Harish Rao from Siddipet on Tuesday. Rao claimed that his nephew and son had improved the lot of the state's citizens over the past nine and a half years.
The chief minister stated at an election rally in Siricilla that his son had given the local weavers a renewed lease on life by introducing the technique of weaving Bathukamma sarees.
"KTR took the initiative to assign sufficient saree-making work to handloom weavers in order to facilitate the distribution of these garments among impoverished women during the Bathukamma and Dasara Navratri celebrations." According to KCR, new garments are woven for the minority communities in observance of Ramadan and Christmas.
He stated that Siricilla's handloom laborers, who previously struggled to make ends meet, now have sufficient work throughout the entire year. "The government invests 300 crore rupees annually in Bathukamma sarees, thereby giving weavers employment." "The scheme was proposed by your MLA KTR, and it was approved by the cabinet in 2018," he recalled.
The chief minister expressed regret that malicious individuals had seized and burned sarees on the grounds that they were of inferior quality. "Who requested that you wear the inferior garments?" "These sarees are not only being produced for wear, but also to dry the weavers' tears," he explained.
KCR had high hopes that Sircilla would develop into another textile-industry-renowned Sholapur in Maharashtra.
