KCR encourages producers to band together.
Telangana Chief Minister and BRS head K Chandrasekhar Rao claim that despite two major parties (the Congress for 54 years and the BJP later) being in office for the past 75 years, farmers' conditions have not improved. He advocated for agriculturalists to band together to alter the current trajectory of events.
The BRS leader claimed at a rally in Loha tehsil in the Nanded district of Maharashtra on Sunday that the state government only decided to grant farmers Rs 6,000 in aid after he spoke at a gathering in Nanded last month, a distance of approximately 214 kilometres from here. The KCR stated, "When you made your presence known in the past, the ruling classes had to apologise. We need to put aside our religious differences and work together for the common good of the peasantry ". He claimed that 41 billion acres of territory in India could be used for farming.
"It's like throwing water on a conflagration with this assistance. No, thank you. We propose that farmers be provided Rs 10,000 per acre towards productive agricultural endeavours, "Said KCR. He also attacked Devendra Fadnavis, a BJP official and the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, for suggesting that Rao divert his attention from Telangana to that state.
He said that coal and water should be maximised and efficiently planned for. "Only 19,000 TMC out of 75,000 TMC is being used, with the remainder flowing into the Gulf of Bengal. We have enough coal to keep the lights on for the next 125 years. Despite this, however, farms continue to struggle "His words.
In the Panchayat elections in Maharashtra, KCR declared that the BRS would run. He said BRS leaders would go to the towns and organise recruitment campaigns. He claimed Telangana was in terrible shape some eight or nine years back. There was a dramatic increase in the number of farmer suicides. But things are different now. If Telangana, with fewer resources, can develop, then why not Maharashtra, which has many more? "He inquired. On Sunday, KCR's presence at the rally was bolstered by former Maharashtra Lok Sabha MP Haribhau Rathod, former MLAs Shankar Dhondge and former MLAs Harshvardhan Jadhav, and other local political figures.
