KCR to Expand Telangana Cabinet on February 19
Finally, Telangana is going to have a full-fledged cabinet! Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to expand his team on February 19.
After December 7 Assembly elections, TRS won and KCR was sworn in on December 13th. Mohammed Mahmood Ali is the only other minister who was sworn in with KCR for a second term.
Mahmood Ali was deputy Chief Minister holding the revenue portfolio. As the state budget session is going to begin on February 22nd and ends on February 25th, speculations are doing rounds on who would present the budget.
KCR took his own time to streamline departments, to create more wings under each ministry so that 7 or 8 key ministers could run the state machinery effectively.
Being a religious person, KCR decided the special day (Magha Suddha Pournami) for the event. The strength of cabinet is 18 ministers including CM, for which Telangana has only 2 by now. So, KCR is going to reveal other 16 names of February 19th.
