KCR will not attend the ' United Indian Rally ' says can't share the dais with Congress
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will not attend the mega opposition rally being held by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Saturday. He called Mamata Banerjee on Friday and conveyed to her of his absence and the reason is that he doesn't want to be a part of the meeting which involves Congress.
Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee is holding a mega rally for a grand alliance of opposition parties this noon. More than 20 national leaders, including three present chief ministers Arvind Kejriwal, Chandrababu Naidu, and H D Kumaraswamy; and former chief ministers Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav, and Gegong Apang are expected to attend the meeting, as per the sources.
KCR has been wanting to unite all the regional parties under one umbrella against the BJP and Congress. He had started this in fact with Mamata Banerjee being the first to meet. However, Mamata Banerjee made no comments on keeping Congress out of this grand opposition alliance being formed.
