KCR's daughter: Leading to Excel

The founder & president of Telangana Jagruthi, and the daughter of Telangana CM KCR, Kalvakuntla Kavitha is a personality that commands followers.
After her bachelor's degree in Engineering, she left for the USA to pursue a Master's in Computer Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi, after that she worked as a software engineer.
After completing her education, she returned to India in 2004 to play an active role in the Telangana statehood movement. She contributed immensely by founding an NGO called "Telangana Jagruthi" to unite people of Telangana origin around the world.
As a result, her career and the history of Telangana state were transformed. KCR led the movement for statehood in 2014, when Telangana was carved out of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. During the 2014 elections for the state Assembly and Lok Sabha, her father's party won both, and KCR became the first CM of the newly born state.
Kavitha stayed in India to help her father in various ways after this momentous change. In the current election, a Member of the Legislative Council of Telangana is winning the local bodies constituency with 89% of the total votes cast. Formerly, she represented Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency in the Indian Parliament. She served on various standing committees of different ministries during her tenure. Also, she was nominated to the Steering Committee of CWP (Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians) India Region, which works to increase the number of women representatives in Parliament. She has traveled to various countries as a member of many international delegations and with organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank.
She is fondly referred to as Kavithamma. Kavitha's trials and zeal to instill a sense of patriotism among the youth have helped her bring to life associations and organizations. She has been elected the qst state chief commissioner of the Telangana chapter and she is the youngest person to hold this position in India
