KT Rama Rao Alleges CM Revanth Reddy's BJP Alignment Ahead of Elections
BRS working president KT Rama Rao raised concerns over Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's alleged inclination to join the BJP post-Lok Sabha elections. Pointing to Reddy's expressions of admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his silence on defection allegations, Rao insinuated Reddy's potential alignment with the BJP. Rao issued a challenge to Reddy to publicly affirm his allegiance to the Congress, criticizing him for attempting to divert attention from scandals plaguing the BRS regime.
Accusing the Chief Minister of withholding construction permits unless bribes were paid to the ruling party, Rao underscored Reddy's priorities, citing the allocation of funds to Delhi for election expenses over addressing state issues. Rao also criticized BJP State president G Kishan Reddy for what he perceived as inefficiency and accused the BJP of engaging in communal politics.
The forthcoming elections in Secunderabad were portrayed as a battleground between failed leadership, opportunism, and unwavering loyalty. BRS candidate T Padma Rao was positioned as the people's choice amidst criticism of BJP and Congress candidates. The meeting, attended by Secunderabad candidate T Padma Rao, former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and other senior BRS leaders, highlighted the stakes in the upcoming electoral contest.
