KT Rama Rao Slams Congress Party for Insulting Farmers and Neglecting Their Welfare
Rama Rao criticized the Congress party for allegedly neglecting small and marginal farmers and its policy towards them. He claimed that the Congress party has always treated these farmers stepmotherly and neglected their welfare.
Rama Rao specifically targeted the TPCC (Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) president, A Revanth Reddy over the 24x7 free power supply issue. He accused the Congress party of insulting small and marginal farmers with its policy. Rama Rao argued that reducing the free power supply from 24 hours to three hours would force these farmers to use powerful motors, like the ones used in the movie "Bahubali," to ensure sufficient water supply for their fields.
He further criticized Revanth Reddy's stance on the Dharani portal, a real estate registration portal in Telangana. Rama Rao claimed that Revanth Reddy was determined to scrap the portal, and now he was also advocating for reducing the free power supply to farmers.
Rama Rao compared Revanth Reddy to Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief, who allegedly dismissed agriculture as a futile exercise in the past. He accused Revanth Reddy of being against the extension of 24-hour free power supply, despite the Congress party's failure to provide even seven hours of power supply to farmers in the past.
Rama Rao concluded that voting for the Congress party would distress the farming community. He asked the people whether they wanted Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who, according to Rama Rao, transformed the fortunes of farmers, or Congress leaders who believed that three hours of power supply was sufficient for farming.
It's important to note that this statement reflects the views and claims made by KT Rama Rao, a political figure associated with the BRS party, and it does not necessarily represent an objective or unbiased assessment of the Congress party's policies or actions towards farmers.
