BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from party supporters and Telangana NRIs upon his arrival at Dallas Airport, kicking off his three-day tour of the United States. The visit is centered around the grand celebration of the BRS silver jubilee and Telangana State Formation Day, scheduled for Sunday, June 2, at 4 PM local time (June 3, 3 AM IST) at the Comerica Centre in Frisco.
KTR will be joined at the celebrations by party leaders, former ministers, and public representatives. The event marks a significant milestone for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and commemorates Telangana’s journey since its formation. Following the celebrations, KTR is scheduled to interact with students at the University of Texas, Dallas on June 3. He is expected to return to Hyderabad on June 4.
This U.S. tour comes right after KTR concluded a successful trip to the United Kingdom, where he highlighted Telangana’s developmental progress and engaged with the global Telugu diaspora. He landed in the UK on May 27 to a grand reception from local Telangana NRIs. During his visit, he met BRS NRI leader and former Film Development Corporation chairman Anil Kurmachalam, who is recovering from a heart procedure.
On May 28, he held strategic discussions with BRS NRI UK unit leaders, lauding their decade-long contribution to the Telangana cause. He also met with UK Telugu business leaders, encouraging investment in Telangana regardless of political shifts.
On May 30, KTR delivered a keynote at the Bridge India Week 2025 conference, promoting Telangana’s inclusive growth. He later inaugurated the PDSL Knowledge Centre at Warwick University, showcasing Telangana’s global impact in the automotive sector. As he departed for the U.S., KTR expressed gratitude to NRIs for their ongoing support of Telangana’s vision.
