KTR Condemns Harassment of Miss England in Telangana

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly condemned the alleged harassment faced by Miss England, Milla Magee, during her visit to Telangana for the Miss World event. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), KTR expressed his personal apology, stating, “You are a very strong woman, Milla Magee, and I’m truly sorry you had to go through this in our State.”
Calling the incident a violation of Telangana’s cultural values, he demanded a thorough investigation and emphasized that the behavior did not reflect the state's legacy of respecting women. Referring to Telangana’s historical women leaders like Rani Rudrama and Chityala Ailamma, KTR stated that Magee’s experience stands in stark contrast to the state’s ideals.
Magee, 24, initially exited the event citing “personal reasons” but later revealed in an interview with The Sun that she felt exploited and morally conflicted during the pageant. KTR also condemned victim-blaming attempts and called for accountability. His swift response was appreciated, especially as a father himself, voicing hope that no woman should have to face such trauma again.
