KTR, Harish Rao Pay Tribute to Tribal Freedom Fighter Kumram Bheem

BRS working president KT Rama Rao and senior MLA T Harish Rao paid rich tributes to tribal icon Kumram Bheem on his death anniversary, commemorating his contributions to the Adivasi rights movement.
KTR described Bheem as a fearless warrior who fought against oppression with the powerful slogan “Jal, Jungle, Zameen” (Water, Forest, Land), symbolizing the struggle for tribal dignity and autonomy. “His courage and spirit continue to inspire the Telangana movement and our fight for self-respect,” he wrote on X.
Under the previous BRS government, Asifabad district was renamed after the tribal hero, a memorial park was established at Jodeghat — Bheem’s birthplace — and a grand Adivasi Bhavan was built in Hyderabad to honor his legacy. Harish Rao echoed similar sentiments, calling Bheem’s life “an embodiment of sacrifice and resilience” that continues to guide the state’s efforts toward social justice.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to uphold Bheem’s vision for equality and empowerment of tribal communities. They noted that his ideals remain central to Telangana’s development agenda, ensuring that marginalized voices receive due recognition.
Their tribute marked not only remembrance of a historic leader but also a renewal of Telangana’s commitment to preserving tribal heritage and promoting inclusive growth inspired by Bheem’s lifelong struggle.
