KTR Launches Fierce Attack on Congress, Urges Jubilee Hills Voters to Support BRS Candidate

With the Jubilee Hills by-election approaching, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a strong attack on the ruling Congress government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing them of betrayal, corruption, and mass demolitions. He urged voters to reject Congress’s false promises and restore development by electing BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha.
Speaking at the Telangana Bhavan, KTR welcomed several BJP leaders from the Shaikpet division, including Cheruku Mahesh, into the BRS fold. He described the bypoll as a battle between “deceit and reality” and said the people of Jubilee Hills must choose between the “car or the bulldozer”—symbolizing BRS and Congress.
KTR criticized the Congress for demolishing homes of the poor across Hyderabad, calling it an attack on common people. He claimed this election is not just a contest between two candidates but a chance to “teach Congress a lesson for failing on every front.”
He alleged that while Congress promised 420 guarantees, not a single major project has been delivered in two years. Instead, the government has taken ₹2.3 lakh crore in loans without visible development. He accused the Chief Minister of spending more time “chanting KCR’s name” than governing.
KTR further claimed that Congress leaders are buying votes in Jubilee Hills, with rumors of ₹10,000 per vote. He also said the six guarantees were lies, and even pensions are being delayed for political gain.
He warned that a Congress victory would lead to more demolitions and broken promises, while a BRS win would restore development under former CM KCR’s model.
Calling the BJP a “useless party” in Telangana, he said voting for Congress or BJP is like “throwing your vote in the trash.”
Highlighting Congress’s failures, KTR cited the 42% BC reservation order that was struck down by the court due to procedural errors, and accused Revanth Reddy of misleading minorities with false promises like MLC seats for Mohammed Azharuddin and land for a Muslim graveyard, which turned out to be Army property.
“This is what happens when people trust liars,” KTR warned, urging voters to back Maganti Sunitha and bring back development-focused governance under BRS.
