KTR US Visit Highlights

Industries, IT, Municipal Administration & Urban Development KTR, who flew into America to fetch considerable investments to the State of Telangana, received a rousing welcome in Los Angeles. KTR, who left Hyderabad for the US on Saturday, landed in Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday. The NRIs and TRS activists tumultuously received the Minister.

Minister urges NRIs to support Mana Ooru Mana Badi program
The minister called on the NRIs in America to financially assist the villages where the NRIs were born and raised by taking up development works in Telangana, the best place to invest in India.
'Mana Ooru- Mana Badi' is a novel initiative, and the govt aims to develop as many as 26,000 government schools in Telangana in a phased manner.
"Apart from the government funds, the NRIs must consider coming forward to provide financial assistance to the program in developing our villages where we were born and brought up. As per the program, the latest technology will be provided in all government schools for best quality education at primary level," he said.
Chemveda Life Sciences announces Rs 150 crore investment for R&D centre in Hyderabad
On Monday, clinical research organization Chemveda Life Sciences committed an investment of Rs 150 crore ($20 million) to expand its footprint in Hyderabad. The organization committed to setting up new state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) center spread over 2 lakh sq ft to create an additional 500 jobs for scientists.
The commitment — that could be touted as the first successful investment announcement made during Telangana industries & IT minister KT Rama Rao's US visit — was made after KTR met the top honchos of the Chemveda in San Diego.
KTR said he was "delighted to see companies like Chemveda Life Sciences scale their footprint in the city”.
US Golf Company Inks Deal to Provide Employment to 300 Youths in Hyderabad
In a significant step towards generating employment opportunities, the state of Telangana signed a deal with US-based noted Golf Company 'Call Away.' In the minister's presence, a delegation of the company signed an agreement and vowed to give jobs to people.
As per reports, Call Away will be setting up its Digitech Company in Hyderabad and offering 300 jobs to eligible youths in Hyderabad.
KT Rama Rao apprised TSiPASS and unique policies to give permissions in just 2 weeks and facilities to the companies to start and expand their businesses in the state.
KTR meets the leadership team of Fisker Inc in the US
KTR also discussed with another company Fisker Inc to start its business with investment by getting permissions, facilities, and support from the state government.
Fisker is an American electric vehicle (EV) company. Minister KTR thanked the leadership team of Fisker for choosing Hyderabad to set up their IT Development Center. The initial headcount of this upcoming center will be 300 IT Professionals.
Upon Minister KTR's invitation, a Fisker team would soon visit Hyderabad to understand the local EV ecosystem and explore other avenues of collaboration. He also highlighted that Telangana is the nation's second-largest clean energy producer.
IT & Industries Minister Sri KTR met Applied Materials Senior Vice President:
KTR met Om Nalamasu CTO & Senior Vice President of Applied Materials in San Jose, USA today. Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for the semiconductor, flat panel display and solar photovoltaic cells.
During the meeting, Minister highlighted the industrial friendly policies of Telangana & positioned Hyderabad for R&D expansion, & component manufacturing.
Srinivas Satya, President & MD, India, of Applied Materials, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Sujai Karampuri, Director, Electronics, Shakthi Nagappan, Director, Telangana Life Sciences were also present in the meeting.

IT and Industries Minister KTR spoke at 'An Exclusive Investors Roundtable to promote investments into the State of Telangana
hosted by Consul General of India in San Francisco Dr. TV Nagendra Prasad in Los Altos, CA, USA today.
Speaking at the Roundtable, Hon’ble Consul General Dr. Nagendra Prasad stated that Minister KTR is known for his dynamism and novel initiatives like T-Hub
Minister KTR said, “In 2015, I came to the Bay Area to introduce the new state of Telangana to the world. Today, I am here to narrate the story of a Trailblazing and Triumphant Telangana.”
Minister explained how Telangana's economy is growing at a rapid pace under the leadership of CM Sri KCR. The Minister said Telangana is a classic example of how equitable growth can be achieved across sectors.

KTR met CEO of Lucid Motors to explore opportunities for Hyderabad:
Minister KTR met with Peter Rawlinson, CEO & CTO, and James Hawkins, Senior Director of Engineering of Lucid Motors in San Jose today. Lucid is an American electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Newark, California.
Minister KTR addressed a group of over 250 members at San Jose:
KTR addressed a group of 250 members of the ITServe Alliance on the topic "IT Investments in Telangana" in a meeting held at San Jose.
ITServe Alliance is a non-profit organization consisting of 1400+ Member Companies in IT Staffing & Services Sector. It has 19 Chapters in 22 States across USA. Total revenue of member companies is $10 Billion & these companies provide employment to 100,000 skilled IT specialists
Minister KTR gave a detailed overview of the journey of Telangana State in the last 7 years. Minister stated that under the able leadership of CM Sri KCR, Telangana has become the most successful startup of the country.
He further explained the steps taken up to promote IT in Tier 2 cities like building Plug & Play infrastructure. Minister informed that IT Towers are now coming up in Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar.
Minister urged the members of IT Serve Alliance to explore investment opportunities in Tier 2 cities in Telangana and assured of all help to the prospective investors.
KTR thanked Confluent Medical Technology firm for choosing Hyderabad:
The world-renowned medical devices manufacturing company Confluent Medical has decided to set up its manufacturing unit in Hyderabad. The company has decided soon to start a manufacturing unit on a pilot base and expand it in 12 months. The company will bring top-notch technology to Hyderabad city for manufacturing Nintol products. The first company in the country to manufacture products with this level of technology is set to be Confluent Medical.
It will provide services to medical device manufacturing companies based on its products. Through its manufacturing unit to be established in Hyderabad, it will supply its products to its customers in Asia and India.
Dean Schauer, the president and CEO of the Confluent Medical Organization, met with Minister KTR in San Ho, America. It announced the formation of a unit related to their organization.
Minister KTR said that all kinds of assistance will be provided on behalf of the state government regarding the manufacturing plant unit of the company will work towards further strengthening the Telangana partnership with the company in the future.
KTR met with the CEO of Sanmina Corporation in USA:
Telangana delegation led by Minister KTR met Mr. Jure Sola, Chairman & CEO of Sanmina Corporation in USA. The Minister invited the leadership team to Telangana to explore opportunities for setting up their electronics manufacturing unit.
Sanmina designs, manufactures and repairs some of the world's most complex and innovative optical, electronic, and mechanical products.
KTR discussed with Microsoft M.D. to bring Future I.T. technologies in Telangana:
Mr. Ranveer Chandra, Managing Director (Industry Research) & CTO Agri-Food at Microsoft, met with Minister KTR and discussed deploying advanced technologies such as data platforms, connectivity, robotics, and A.I. in the agriculture sector Telangana.

I.T. & Industries Minister KTR chaired a high-level Industry Roundtable meeting in Bay Area, USA. During the meeting, the minister presented the overall Life Sciences and Biotechnology ecosystem in Telangana and its success stories and investment opportunities.
Minister invited them to set up R&D, Digital, and Manufacturing operations in Hyderabad. The leaders lauded the efforts of the Telangana Government to accelerate growth in the life sciences sector and responded positively to the Minister's request to explore investment opportunities.
World's largest Tilapia fish exports company decided to Invest in Telangana:
Fish in Telangana, the world's largest Tilapia fish exports company, has decided to invest heavily in Telangana. In today's meeting with minister Sri KTR in America, the company's chairman and CEO Manish Kumar presented the company's decision on this.
The company said that it has decided to develop a fully integrated freshwater fish culture system in Telangana state with Rs 1000 crore. The company is set to launch its operations with world-class standards at Mid Maneru Reservoir in Rajanna Sirisilla district of Telangana.
Minister KTR said that around 5,000 people would get employment opportunities through this investment.
