KTR Urges Jubilee Hills Voters to Back BRS and “Stop the Bulldozers”
BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday called upon voters in Jubilee Hills to choose “development over destruction” in the upcoming by-election, warning that a Congress victory would embolden a government he accused of chaos, neglect, and discrimination.
Addressing a massive roadshow in Somajiguda, KTR described the bypoll as a battle between “two years of Congress chaos” and “ten years of BRS-led progress.” He said Hyderabad, once plagued by power cuts and water shortages, flourished under former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s administration, which ensured uninterrupted electricity, industrial growth, and massive IT expansion. “Hyderabad became a fortune-maker for all,” he declared.
KTR attacked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for failing to deliver on the Congress’ “six guarantees” and 100-day promises, including Rs 2,500 for women, Rs 4,000 pensions, and one tola gold under Kalyana Lakshmi. He accused the government of deliberately withholding over Rs 10,000 crore in student fee reimbursements, saying this had crippled higher education for poor and middle-class families. “This is not negligence — it is a conspiracy against Telangana’s youth,” he charged.
Highlighting the recent HYDRAA demolitions, KTR accused the Congress government of targeting poor families while sparing the influential, including relatives of senior leaders. Displaying visuals of evictions, he told voters, “If you want the bulldozers away, vote for the Car. Only a Car can stop a bulldozer.”
He also warned against voter impersonation and urged citizens to turn out in large numbers. Reminding the crowd of the BRS’ election symbol, KTR concluded, “Teen number pe Car, baaki sab bekaar” — a rallying call for Jubilee Hills to reaffirm faith in BRS governance.
