Last week, several photos of director Samuthirakani shooting a serial with veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar turned viral, and Radhika also tweeted, "#SunTV, director @thondankani giving me instructions. This marks both our return to the small screen on Primetime! godspeed." Following this, there was news that Samuthirakani, who has made serials like Anni and hit shows like Thanga Vettai on TV, will be back to the small screen to direct a serial for Sun TV starring Radhika. Now an official clarification on the same has come from the makers.

Samuthirakani has said Radaan is his home, and he was called to direct the trailer for an upcoming serial (not directed by him). Samuthirakani is part of movies such as Vellai Yaanai and Indian 2. And non-other than Kajal Aggarwal makes a cameo appearance in the trailer, but only for promotional purposes.
