Kajol Drops 'Maa' Trailer Release Date, Sparks Buzz

Bollywood star Kajol has officially announced the trailer release date for her upcoming film Maa, sharing a spooky new poster and building excitement among fans. Taking to Instagram, she revealed the trailer will launch in four days with the caption: "Rakshak. Bhakshak. MAA. The protector. The destroyer."

Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, is connected to the Shaitaan movie universe, which starred Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn. While Shaitaan focused on a father's desperate efforts to save his daughter from dark forces, Maa will center on a mother’s fierce protection of her child from evil. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Jitin Gulati in key roles.

Not much has been disclosed about the storyline yet, but Kajol has promised that more details will emerge soon. Recently, she visited the Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata to seek divine blessings for the film’s success, a gesture that resonates with her deep faith in Maa Kali and the film's themes of maternal strength.

Maa is expected to expand the supernatural thriller universe started by Shaitaan, signaling a potential franchise. Kajol’s last screen appearance was in Netflix’s Do Patti, where she starred alongside Kriti Sanon. She also has several other films lined up, including Sarzameen with Prithviraj and Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Maharagni – Queen of Tears, where she will share screen space with Prabhudheva and Naseeruddin Shah.
