Kamal Haasan in Rajahmundry for Indian 2 Shoot!

It is known that Tamil veteran actor Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for Indian 2, the sequel of Indian, which was released in 1996. The film was a blockbuster at that time. After a long gap, Kamal is going to stun people once again as a patriot. S. Shankar who directed the original film is directing this sequel too. The film has recently wrapped up its shoot in Chennai and reached Rajahmundry for the next schedule. Some crucial scenes are being shot in Rajahmundry Central jail.

The film is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah‘s Lyca Productions. Indian 2 also stars Nedumudi Venu, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal is playing the lead antagonist. The story of the film is penned by S. Shankar, B. Jeyamohan, Lakshmi Saravanakumar, Kabilan Vairamuthu, Abbas Tyrewala and Madhan Karky jointly. R. Rathnavelu is handling cinema work while A. Sreekar Prasad is doing editing. Anirudh Ravichander, for the first time, is composing music for Kamal and Shankar’s film.

The film is being made on a huge budget of Rs 200 crores and the film will be released on 14 April 2021. The original film Indian which was made with Rs 15 crores has collected stunning amounts at the box office back then. We have to wait and see if Indian 2 reaches that stage and impresses the audience.
