Kavitha releases a quota measure for women poster
A poster calling for the introduction of a women's reservation bill in Parliament was presented by Bharat Jagruthi president and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday in Hyderabad. Kavitha, who recently held a one-day hunger strike and also organised a round table discussion with various political parties and organisations in New Delhi, is quoted in a release as saying that the Bharat Jagruthi has decided to intensify its agitation in support of the Women's Reservation Bill and that as part of its action plan, it will conduct various programs, such as a missed call and post card campaign and organising meetings with academicians and professionals.
The Bharat Jagruthi, which Kavitha leads, will hold three events next month all over the country to support the Women's, Reservation Bill. She will also send postcards and letters to academicians and professors supporting the women's reservation bill. The MLC said that the Women's Reservation Bill should be introduced and passed right away because the BJP government at the center had full support in Parliament.
