Keerthy Suresh wins Best Actress National Film Award for Mahanati
66th National Film Awards' winner's list has created a buzz in social media. After being delayed for about 3 months due to Lok Sabha elections the full list of winners is finally out.
Keerthy Suresh has bagged the 'Best Actress' award. She received it for playing the role of legendary actress Savitri in Mahanati. Directed and written by Nag Ashwin, Mahanti co-stars Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda in key roles. Keerthy's acting in the film was commendable and is the most talked about.
Keerthy has a huge fan following and has starred in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films in the past. She is very happy and said that she always wanted to win it for her mother. Mahanati bagged two more National Awards for Best Telugu film (regional) and Best Costume.
