‘Kishkindhapuri’ Promises Spine-Chilling Entertainment, Premieres on ZEE5 from October 17

ZEE5, one of India’s leading OTT platforms, is set to premiere the highly anticipated horror thriller Kishkindhapuri on October 17 at 6 PM. Directed by Koushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film features a talented ensemble cast including Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Anupama Parameswaran, Makarand Deshpande, and Tanikella Bharani.

The story is set in an eerie, abandoned radio station—once full of life but now shrouded in mystery. A group of curious visitors arrives for a ghost tour, expecting fun and adventure. However, their excitement quickly turns to terror when they accidentally awaken a restless spirit. What starts as a playful exploration soon spirals into a nightmare as the group finds themselves trapped inside with no escape, battling fear, danger, and the unknown.

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas revealed that this role was one of the most challenging of his career. “Horror films are difficult because you react to things that aren’t really there. The atmosphere, the darkness, and the tension were intense even when the cameras weren’t rolling. This film will definitely keep viewers on edge,” he said.

Anupama Parameswaran praised the film’s realistic approach. “My character is very human—she experiences fear, confusion, and strength all at once. Filming in those creepy locations helped us stay in character. The movie isn’t just about ghosts, but about how people confront fear,” she explained.
