Late Sridevi and Rekha to be Honoured at ANR Awards

The ANR awards, in the name of legendary actor and producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao for the year 2018 & 2019 were announced on November 14. Late Sridevi and Rekha are going to be awarded by Megastar Chiranjeevi on November 17th.

The event is going to take place at Annapoorna Studios and will be attended by many celebrities from the South Indian Film industry. Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor will receive the award on behalf of late Sridevi Ji. Actress Rekha will reportedly be present at the awards function on November 17th, in Hyderabad.

Akkineni Nagarjuna will also be present at the event and he will be honoring some other awards from the film industry for their contribution to the industry. Sridevi has worked in more than 300 films and has won millions of hearts with her films in the South and Bollywood film industry.

She made her debut in the South Indian Cinema at the age of 4, with the Tamil movie Kandan Karunai. She has worked with many veteran actors. Unfortunately, She passed away on February 24, 2018, due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in Dubai.

Coming to Rekha's contribution to Indian Cinema, the actress has worked in more than 180 films. She made her acting debut as a child artist in Telugu movie Rangula Ratnam in 1966. Later she went on to make her full-fledged debut as a heroine with Kannada film, Operation Jackpot Nalli C.I.D 999 and after that, she worked in many Bollywood films and has become one of the most popular actresses of the film industry.
