Liger is the bigger disaster than Acharya

Liger, the sport based movie starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday which was released on 25th August, received mixed response on its release day and the film is turning out a disaster at the box office.

Trade reports suggest that the film, Liger saw a 50 % drop and the film Liger performed even worse than Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde starrer social movie Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. An industry tracker posted: Liger is a Bigger Disaster than Acharya (32.5%) in terms of ROI. It is unlikely to recover even 30% and there isn’t a single theatre where it managed to collect Rent on Monday and the business as good as closed.

Puri Jagannadh’ directional venture Liger is a pan-India flop and not only has the movie failed to take off in the Hindi language belts, it is also tanking on Deverakonda’s home turf. Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Ali are essaying the supporting role in the film which is bankrolled by Puri himself, Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson essayed a cameo in this Pan India movie. On the other side, currently Vijay Deverakonda is working with South actress Samantah Ruth Prabhu in Shiva Nirvana’ directional venture Kushi.
