Lokesh Raises Alarm Over Alleged Phone Tapping, Calls it a Threat to Democracy.
Lokesh Nara, the National General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh's Telugu Desam Party (TDP), strongly condemned the recent security alert from Apple regarding potential phone tapping, labeling it as a severe threat to democracy. Speaking to ANI, Nara revealed that it was the second attempt to tap his phone, indicating clear evidence of state agencies' involvement. He emphasized that this was not an isolated incident, as the party had previously raised concerns about phone tapping attempts.
Expressing grave concern over the alleged phone tapping, Nara stated that such actions pose a significant risk to democracy. He highlighted the TDP's determination to address the issue seriously, having already filed complaints with the Election Commission and various security agencies. Nara underscored the party's commitment to fighting against any threats to democracy, asserting that they would pursue the matter rigorously.
Furthermore, Nara challenged the current government and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to an open debate on the welfare work carried out under their respective regimes. This challenge comes amidst growing tensions surrounding the alleged phone tapping incident and reflects the TDP's proactive stance in defending democratic principles and advocating for transparency in governance.
