MLC Kavitha's Bail Verdict Delayed; Final Decision Expected on May 6
A special court has postponed the verdict on MLC Kavitha's bail petition, with the final decision now set to be delivered on May 6. Judge Kaveri Bhaveja of the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi announced this, also mentioning that the final orders for Kavitha's bail petitions in both the ED and CBI cases will be given separately on the same day.
This delay comes after the court extended the judicial custody of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and K Kavitha until May 7 in the excise policy case. Kavitha was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 15 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. Stakeholders are anxiously awaiting the court's decision on Kavitha's bail petition, which is crucial for all parties involved. The final ruling on May 6 will provide clarity on Kavitha's legal standing in the ongoing investigations.
