Malli Pelli Review: Fiction and Controversy

Senior actor Naresh has been seen in supporting roles for numerous decades and has now opted to make a comeback as a leading man with MS Raju's recent flick Malli Pelli. Pavitra Lokesh plays the lead in this film, which was released today. Let's see how things turned out.
Movie: Malli Pelli
Star Cast : Naresh, Pavithra
Director : MS Raju
Producer : Naresh VK
Music : Aruldev, Suresh Bobblli
Story:
Malli Pelli is based on Naresh's real-life experience and the myriad scandals that have recently surrounded his personal life. The film follows his romance with Pavitra Lokesh as well as his divorce from his third wife, Ramya Raghupathi. The film has some fiction as well, but it largely tells the spectator what happened in actuality. The plot of this film revolves around Naresh and Pavitra's relationship and how it came to be.
On-Screen Performances:
Naresh is an extremely talented actor who has appeared in a wide range of roles during his career. He appears fit and young in Malli Pelli, which depicts him in a very youthful manner - both in terms of appearance and attitude. While Naresh played his part convincingly for the majority of the film, he did fall short in a few sequences.
Pavitra Lokesh also looks excellent. She is also quite good in her performance, bringing forth her side of the narrative convincingly and genuinely.
Vanitha Vijay Kumar plays Naresh's third wife in the film, and she is the film's biggest surprise. She offers an honest performance, and her character is presented in a favourable and impartial light.
There is no scene in the film that degrades her. Jayasudha and Sarath Babu play important roles. The moments involving Jayasudha and Naresh have turned out beautifully and are among the most moving in the film. The rest of the supporting cast is excellent in their parts and does their jobs admirably.
Off-Screen Talents:
MS Raju, the director, could have done so much better with what he was given. The film's screenplay is rather slow, and there is a lot of lag in the first half. If the director had done the same, the first half of the film would have been far superior.
When compared to the rest of the film, the climax and the half-hour coming up to the interval are enjoyable, but not enough to save the film, which suffers from a lack of adequate execution. Furthermore, this video gives us nothing new about the lives of Pavitra and Naresh and just depicts what people have already seen on TV.
Pavitra's personal life is the only thing that has changed. The film's production qualities are high, and it shows in every shot. The film's cinematography is also pretty good. One of the film's strongest elements is its background music. The editing is subpar and could have made the film much better if done correctly.
Positive Aspects:
Lead cast performances
Background score
Negative Aspects:
Direction
Lag in the first half
Known story
Verdict:
Malli Pelli is simply a retelling of what is already known from the perspective of Naresh and Pavitra. There is some fiction thrown throughout. Aside from that, there is nothing in the film that makes it particularly appealing.
