Milky Siren To Essay The Role Of Jamuna?

As per the latest buzz in the film circles, milky siren Tamannah Bhatia was approached to essay the role of yesteryear actress Jamuna on the screen who ruled the industry in 1950s and 1960s.

Actress, Jamuna made her acting debut with Puttillu under the direction of Dr Garikapati Rajarao, which was released in the year 1953 and received her breakthrough with LV Prasad’ movie Missamma. When legendary actress Savitri was performing in Duggirala, she stayed in Jamuna’ place. Later, Savitri invited Jamuna to act in the films and she entered as lead roles in films, when she was just 14 years old.

Later, Jamuna joined the Congress party in the year 1980s and she was elected to Lok Sabha from the constituency of Rajahmundry in 1989. She then retired from politics but campaigned for the BJP in 1990s. As per the recent reports, the popular Telugu filmmaker has initiated talks with the yesteryear actress Jamuna to get her green signal on her biopic. Tamannah Bhatia has been approached to essay the titular role, and if everything goes as per plan, the official statement regarding Jamuna biopic and inclusion of Tamannah will be made soon.It is being heard that Sivanagu will helm the biopic.
