Minister Nara Lokesh Brings Positive Change to Welfare Scheme Naming in Andhra Pradesh

Naming welfare schemes after politicians and changing these names with each new government has become commonplace in the Telugu states. During his tenure, Jagan Mohan Reddy notably renamed schemes, including those honoring figures like Abdul Kalam.
Minister Nara Lokesh has decided to break this trend by not naming the schemes under his portfolios after current leaders. Notably, Jagananna Amma Vodi has been renamed to Thalliki Vandhanam, and Jagananna Vidya Kanuka is now Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyardhi Mitra. Additionally, Jagananna Gorumudda has been changed to Dokka Sitamma Madhyahna Badi Bhojanam. Lokesh has also reverted the Jagananna Animuthyalu awards back to their original name, Abdul Kalam Prathiba Puraskaram.
This initiative by Lokesh to honor legends like Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Dokka Seethamma, and Abdul Kalam ensures that their contributions to society are remembered by future generations. It is hoped that this culture of respect will endure in Andhra Pradesh.
