Miss Universe 2023 becomes Sone Ki Chidiya!

Divita Rai is representing India at the 71st edition of Miss Universe. The pageant will take place on 14th January in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, and more than 80 nations from across the world will participate in this competition for the crown.

Ms. Rai turned into ‘Sone Ki Chidiya’ (golden bird) for the National Costume round. Abhishek Sharma designed Divita’s outfit for the event – Miss Universe 2023.

Divita Rai hailing from Karnataka, crowned Miss Universe India on 28th August 2022 in Mumbai by Harnaaz Sandhu-the outgoing Miss Universe India & Miss Universe 2021. Ms. Rai will now compete in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant as India’s representative.

Before the final round, several rounds of competition, including the ‘National Costume’ round, took place. Divita Rai, dazzled in a golden gown, was a tribute to India.

India’s entry for Ms. Universe turned into a breathtaking ‘Sone Ki Chidiya’ by wearing a golden lehenga with wings.

Harnaaz Sandhu, the reigning Miss Universe from India, will crown the winner.
