Modi Biopic Movie Stay Plea, No Orders Given By SC
New Dheli: A Congress activist filled petition for a stay order on the movie, which is a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the film was objectionable. The Supreme Court of India cleared that it cannot pass any order in this current situation on the plea.
The activist not only wants the stay on the movie but also wishes the copy of the same. The bench of Supreme Court cleared that it will not pass any order on the stay as well as the copy of the film to be handed over. However, the apex court stated that it can pass the order if the petitioner brings what is exactly objectionable about the film.
The main point is that the censor board has not yet issued the certificate to this controversial film, the film is still uncertified by CB. Chief justice Rajan Gogoi head of the bench asked- why should they give such an order, to hand over the film copy to an individual.
The advocate A M Singhvi, of this Congress activist, said that the film producer passed the statement that it would be released on 11th April.
