I feel lucky that on this occasion when India has successfully stopped open defecation."
A commemorative coin is issued only on major occasions with unique design in reference to the event. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also present at the event. Back In 2018, Modi had released a commemorative Rs 100 coin in memory of former and late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. And again in January 2019, he released a commemorative coin of Rs 350 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru.
On the other side, Modi has returned from his US tour recently and visited Tamil Nadu to make peace after many people started opposing Amit Shah’s “Hindi imposition” tweet. Even actor Kamal Haasan said that Hindi is a kid wearing diapers among other traditional and old Indian languages.
Excellent points made by @SpeakerPelosi at the programme marking #Gandhi150 in Washington DC. She talks about the friendship between India and USA, Mahatma Gandhi and more. Do hear. https://t.co/nFmLnKliIA
