Motion Poster Of Shakuntalam Was Revealed

After delivering the woman-centric movie, Rudhramadevi, the moviemaker Gunasekhar is coming up with an upcoming film ‘Shakuntalam’ which is based on the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta. The upcoming movie is about the marriage, romance, separation, and again reunion of the love of Shakuntala and Dushyanta.

Yesterday, on the eve of New Year, the makers of the movie, Gunasekhar took to Twitter to reveal the motion poster of Shakuntalam and officially confirmed that the actress playing the lead is Samantha and she is on board to essay the role of Shakuntala.

The upcoming film Shakuntalam is still in the process of finalizing the cast and crew. Samantha Akkineni is chosen to essay the role of Shakuntala in the women eccentric movie of Gunasekhar. Gunasekhar is planning to launch the movie in the month of January and complete it as soon as possible. It will be bankrolled by his Guna Team Works and is expected to hit the screens in late 2021.

The upcoming film is going to have music by Mani Sharma. The sources close to the team say that Gunasekhar is working hard to prove himself with this movie after a series of unfortunate flops. Meanwhile, Samantha will be seen essaying the negative role in The Family Man 2 web series.
