Mysterious mud in an Island near Tonga – NASA Baffle Scientists
NASA Scientists landed on mysterious land, discovered three years ago now it is capped with sticky and mysterious mud.
The interesting point is the Island was formed after volcanic eruption joined two older islands in late 2014. It is the first island formed since satellites began consistently photographing Earth.
Scientists initially predicted the island would be around for just a few months. But, a 2017 NASA study found that it could last from 6 to 30 years!
They also discovered that vegetarian was beginning to grow on a collar of the land.
Dan Slayback said: “It’s very sticky . So even though we’d seen it we didn’t really know what it was, and I’m still a little baffled of where it ’s coming from. Because it’s not ash.”
