N Chandrababu Naidu Accuses State Government of Failing Cyclone Victims
Former Chief Minister and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu criticized the Andhra Pradesh state government for its alleged failure to provide shelter, food, and water to victims affected by Cyclone Michaung. Naidu claimed that the government was unprepared to mitigate the damage caused by the cyclone and had not extended assistance to those in need.
In a teleconference with over 12,000 party leaders and activists across the state, Naidu discussed the impact of Cyclone Michaung and enquired about the situation in their respective areas. He directed TDP leaders and cadre to provide immediate assistance to the cyclone victims, including food and water, without waiting for government aid.
Naidu highlighted the TDP's commitment to standing by the people, whether in power or opposition. He criticized the government's lack of preparedness and failure to alert citizens about the cyclone's potential damage, despite having advance knowledge of the situation.
The former Chief Minister recalled the TDP government's efforts to extend assistance to farmers and various sections of society during previous natural disasters. He urged his party leaders and activists to pressure the government to provide more aid to cyclone-affected people, especially considering the rising prices of essential commodities.
