NGK Movie Review – A Failed Political Thriller

Suriya’s NGK has gained a lot of craze before the film’s release. But today, after its release, the film has failed to reach the expectations of the audience. Let’s see where it has gone wrong!
Cast: Suriya Sivakumar, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Jagapati Babu
Director: Selvaraghavan
NGK Movie Story:
NGK is a well-educated person who leaves his corporate job to do organic farming in his village. By doing a lot of social services, he gets involved in several problems. Once he gets into a serious problem and a small corporator helps him to get out of the problem. Then NGK understands, to do good to the society, politics is the right platform. He joins politics just as a member of the party and then he becomes CM slowly after facing many obstacles. What are those obstacles and how NGK becomes CM forms the story.
NGK Movie Review:
Suriya has performed well. To say simply, he is the only one who has carried the whole film on his shoulders. Rakul Preet is good in her role and looks best. Sai Pallavi performance as a doubtful wife is irritating. Her role has no weight and her performance is unimaginable as people will never expect this kind of bad performance from Sai Pallavi.
Director Selvaraghavan has no clarity and focus and it will be understood to everyone within ten minutes of the film gets started. Production values are bad. Dialogues are okay. BGM is good but music is bad. Yuvan Shankar Raja is wasted. As there is no seriousness in the script, watching the film would be a boring thing to the people.
What’s Good?
- Suriya’s performance
- Rakul’s glamour
What’s Bad?
- Direction
- Production
- Music
- Sai Pallavi’s performance
What’s Okay?
- Dialogues
Verdict: On the whole, NGK is not something you have seen in the promotions, before the release. You can easily skip the film and can have some good rest!
