Naidu Pledges Development for Rayalaseema, Criticizes YSRCP
TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in Rayalaseema, promising to prioritize irrigation and complete pending projects if elected. He criticized the ruling YSRCP, accusing them of favoring landlords over the poor. Naidu vowed to conduct a caste census and allocate funds accordingly.
He pledged to prevent migrations by ensuring irrigation for every acre. Naidu also promised to include Kuruba and Budaga Jangams in the Scheduled Caste list and Boyas in the Scheduled Tribes list. Criticizing the lack of development, he pledged to establish a textile park and upgrade Markapuram as a district headquarters.
Naidu assured welfare pensions would be delivered monthly without restrictions and proposed a substantial allocation for Backward Classes. However, he expressed concern over the Election Commission's restriction on welfare pension disbursals, urging immediate alternative arrangements. As elections approach on May 13, Naidu urged voters to support TDP for a brighter future.
