Naidu's Andhra Pradesh campaign is tense
N Chandrababu Naidu's public outreach project remains in limbo despite the Andhra Pradesh High Court's award of regular bail in the APSSDC case and permission to participate in all political activities from November 29.
TDP sources said Naidu's mass contact plan may not resume until his Supreme Court quash petition in the skill development case is heard and his High Court anticipatory bail applications are heard. Sources said Naidu's outreach campaign won't resume until the quash petition and anticipatory bail requests are decided.
On November 27, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh will resume his Yuva Galam Padayatra from Podalada in Razole, BR Ambedkar Konaseema district. On September 9, his father Naidu was arrested in the skill development case, hence he suspended his padayatra in East Godavari. In the first week of December, Nara Bhuvaneswari, Naidu's wife, may resume her Nijam Gelavali Yatra.
Lokesh, who would resume his padayatra after 79 days, will visit eight Assembly constituencies in East Godavari before approaching Visakhapatnam. The TDP general secretary planned to walk 4,000 miles in 400 days and end his padayatra in Ichchapuram, Srikakulam. Lokesh may end his padyatra in Vizag with fewer than five months until the Assembly elections.
