Nara Lokesh Inaugurates Anna Canteen in Nulakapet
Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a new Anna Canteen in Nulakapet, Tadepalli Mandal, serving breakfast to a large gathering at the opening ceremony. This initiative is a key part of the Andhra Pradesh government's mission to provide affordable meals to the underprivileged, offering breakfast and lunch for just Rs. 5.
The day before, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated another Anna Canteen in Gudivada, signaling the expansion of this vital service across the state. On Friday, an additional 99 canteens are scheduled to open in various districts, facilitated by TDP MLAs and Ministers.
Originally, 203 canteens were planned to launch simultaneously, but due to construction delays, the first phase will see the opening of 100 canteens. The remaining canteens will be rolled out in two or three subsequent phases. These canteens are expected to serve approximately 1.05 lakh meals daily, providing 35,000 meals each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Anna Canteen initiative underscores the Andhra Pradesh government's commitment to combating hunger and supporting the state's most vulnerable populations.
