Nara Lokesh Inaugurates Kidney Dialysis Centre, Fulfills Promise from Yuvagalam Padayatra
Chittoor, Friday: Education Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a kidney dialysis centre at the government hospital in Bangarupalem mandal, Chittoor district, fulfilling a key promise made during his Yuvagalam padayatra. In addition to the dialysis unit, Lokesh opened a new 30-bed hospital building and launched a blood donation camp organized by the Red Cross.
Lokesh's pledge to establish a dialysis centre came after reaching the 100-km milestone of his 577-km Yuvagalam padayatra on February 3, 2023. He committed to starting the unit within 100 days, aiming to provide much-needed care to local patients. "This centre will now offer free dialysis services, reducing the burden on patients who previously had to travel long distances for treatment," Lokesh said during the event.
Reflecting on the challenges faced during his 45-day trek across 14 assembly constituencies, Lokesh expressed his gratitude for the public’s unwavering support, despite obstacles from the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He recalled the police's attempts to stifle his movement but emphasized the strength of Yuvagalam's voice.
Later, at the Praja Vedika programme in N. Kothur, Lokesh engaged with party workers and addressed concerns about employment and industry development in the region. He reassured the attendees that job opportunities would increase under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, with a job calendar scheduled for release in January. Lokesh also discussed women's safety and education issues, affirming the party's commitment to these causes.
