Nara Lokesh Lokesh Reaffirms 'Super Six' Promises During 78th Independence Day
During the 78th Independence Day celebrations at the Police Parade Grounds in Guntur, Minister for Resources Development and Information Technology Nara Lokesh reiterated the State government's commitment to fulfilling the 'Super Six' promises made prior to the elections. Lokesh, alongside District Collector Naga Lakshmi, hoisted the national flag and took the guard of honour.
In his address, Lokesh highlighted the Chandrababu Naidu-led government's focus on welfare and development, noting that the administration has restored freedom of speech and the right to dissent, which had been stifled under the previous YSR Congress government. "We will become the voice of the voiceless," he affirmed.
Lokesh pointed to the increase in welfare pensions from Rs 250 per year to Rs 1,000 as evidence of the government's dedication to the well-being of the State's citizens. He also discussed various ongoing initiatives, emphasizing that welfare schemes would be provided unconditionally to ensure all eligible beneficiaries receive the support they need.
The Minister announced the upcoming launch of the Talliki Vandanam scheme, which will provide Rs 15,000 annually to mothers who send their children to school without any conditions. Additionally, the government plans to conduct a massive recruitment drive (DSC) to hire approximately 16,000 school teachers. Lokesh further shared the government's ambitions to create employment opportunities for 20 lakh youth and introduce free travel for women in APSRTC buses. The event concluded with the Minister distributing certificates and awards to officials and winners of various programmes.
