Nawazuddin Siddiqui Quietly Supports Rajpal Yadav Amid Legal Troubles
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has reportedly extended financial assistance to his longtime friend Rajpal Yadav amid the latter’s ongoing legal and financial challenges. The development comes in response to social media criticism suggesting that Nawazuddin had not supported Yadav during his difficult phase.
A source close to Nawazuddin dismissed these allegations, stating that the actor has always stood by Rajpal Yadav, including during previous hardships. According to the source, Nawazuddin had earlier provided financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh and has once again stepped in discreetly during the current crisis. The actor, known for maintaining a low profile regarding charitable acts, has chosen not to publicize his support.
Rajpal Yadav recently surrendered at Tihar Jail in connection with a decade-old cheque-bounce case, prompting several members of the film fraternity to rally behind him. Actors Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Chaudhary publicly appealed for assistance, while the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) urged the industry to demonstrate solidarity rather than treat the situation as charity.
Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav of GemTunes Music also announced financial support of Rs 1.11 crore, describing Rajpal as a cherished contributor to Indian cinema. He emphasized that the gesture symbolized fraternity and unity within the industry.
In a past interview, Nawazuddin had spoken warmly about Rajpal’s generosity during their struggling days, recalling how Yadav’s home was always open to aspiring actors. The renewed support highlights the enduring bonds within the film community during challenging times.
