Nayanthara, Vignesh Clarity On Surrogacy

Kollywood star couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have been in the headlines ever since the couple announced the arrival of their twin baby boys.

The early birth of the twins gave rise to surrogacy speculations, and it even caught the attention of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The state said to have initiated an inquiry to check whether they have violated surrogacy laws.

Following the inquiry, the couple filed an affidavit disclosing that their marriage was registered six years ago, and that they gave birth to the twins via a surrogate.

They revealed that the surrogate was the star actress’ relative and they even provided their marriage certificate as proof for the same.

They also mentioned in the affidavit that they signed up for a surrogate in December 2021 before the Act came into place and asserted that they have not broken any laws during this process.
