Netflix Ruining Another Blockbuster!

Almost all makers want to stream their flick on a global OTT platform like Netflix because of its reach in foreign countries. There’s a chance that the international audience might catch the film, and it might earn appreciation from all over the world, as happened with RRR. Kannada’s biggest blockbuster, Kantara, aims to expand its reach globally with its release on Netflix.

The film producers are trying to present it in the league of the most loved OTT releases like Money Heist and The Squid Game, which came from South Korea and Spain and became global successes. But the biggest mistake Netflix is making is that it will be streaming the movies in English.

The Kannada and Telugu version of Kantara is streaming on Prime Video. Previously, the streaming platform got a lot of flak from the audience for the weird and laughable dubbing of RRR in English. People are now habituated to watching any movie in its original language with English subtitles. The English dubbing of a raw and rustic movie like Kantara will only ruin the experience of watching the film for the audience.
