Nidhhi Agerwal on The Raja Saab: “Audiences Are Truly Enjoying It”
Actress Nidhhi Agerwal is celebrating a memorable Sankranthi season as The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, continues its successful run at the box office. Directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory, the horror-fantasy entertainer has struck a chord with family audiences and children, thanks to its unique concept, grand visuals, and Prabhas’ commanding screen presence.
In a recent interview, Nidhhi expressed happiness and relief over the film’s reception. She revealed that the team worked on the project for nearly three years, making the positive audience response deeply rewarding. While the film received mixed reactions initially, she noted that strong word of mouth gradually boosted its performance, helping it maintain steady box-office numbers.
Speaking about her role as Bessie, a nun, Nidhhi said she put considerable effort into perfecting the character’s look and demeanor. Multiple discussions were held to ensure her appearance felt authentic and aligned with the film’s tone. She described the role as special, particularly as it came after portraying a princess in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, allowing her to explore a contrasting, angelic character.
Nidhhi also praised Prabhas, describing him as humble, friendly, and grounded despite his superstardom. She fondly recalled their on-set conversations and admired his performance, especially in emotionally intense scenes. She credited director Maruthi for maintaining a clear vision and a relaxed working environment, even during complex shoots involving multiple actors and heavy VFX.
Currently juggling multiple Telugu and Hindi projects, Nidhhi said she feels proud to be part of Telugu cinema’s growth. Having purchased a home in Hyderabad, she plans to settle there and continue pursuing meaningful roles, grateful to be living her childhood dream.
