Nithyananda Buys Island And Sets Up His Own Country, 'Kailaasa'

The absconding rape accuse, Nithyananda Swami, has now started his own nation. It has been learned that he has named the island as 'Kailaasa' and has already designed a flag, passport, and an emblem.

This island is situated close to the Trinidad and Tobago and has been declared a Hindu autonomous country by the self-styled Godman. A cabinet has also been set up along with a Prime Minister. A public proclamation has called for donations for the country, and through it, an opportunity to gain citizenship of the ‘greatest Hindu nation’.

Their website says Kailaasa is a nation without borders, created by deprived Hindus from all around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism in their own countries. There are ten departments in the government of Kailaasa, which includes the Department of Health, State, Technology, Enlightened Civilization, Education, Human Services, Housing, Commerce, Treasury.

The legal team of Kailaasa has been working on a plea to the UN to recognize it as a nation. In the petition, Nithyananda has cried victim and alleged that his life is at peril in India because he wants to practice and spread his religion. The island, bought from the Vladi islands from Ecuador, has an effective status and is private. The rape accused had also applied for the citizenship of the Central American country, Belize.

Republic had reported how Nithyananda fled the country despite being in control of an expired passport, possibly via Nepal, using a fake Venezuelan passport. Godman Nithyanand faces multiple charges and was out on bail. He has skipped 43 legal calls over the last one year.
